Nyalok, a 24 year old mother with her baby, at the Gambella Primary Hospital, in the Gambella region, in the west of Ethiopia.

Mum, Nyalok, has come to the hospital with the 3-month-old boy Diang for routine vaccination. She says: "I also came to the hospital for prenatal check-up. I follow the nurses' instructions so that my children get the necessary vaccinations. I also breastfeed exclusively. Good health of my children is my happiness."

The UNCEF Gambella Field office is working collaboratively with the Gambella Regional Health Bureau to ensure that all targeted children receive vaccinations including the recently identified zero dose children. UNICEF is supporting the Gambella Primary Hospital with EPI refrigerators and cold boxes. UNICEF is also supporting the Primary Health care services through the provision of emergency drug kits as the Primary Hospital receives many referral cases from the refugee camps. Every child deserves to be healthy and safe from preventable illness.
